LCC Justice & Advocacy Committee Presents: Mental Health Crisis Among Children and Youth in Homeless Families

November 19 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Join us for the Mental Health Crisis for Children and Youth in Homeless Families event on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, from 7:00 to 8:30 PM at a venue in Bethlehem (to be announced). This important discussion will feature invited speakers, including psychologist Henry Gursky and Roslyn Kuba from Family Promise, along with a representative from the Bethlehem Area School District/Liberty High School (TBA).

During the event, we will cover critical topics such as:

  • An overview of the mental health crisis affecting children and youth, particularly those experiencing homelessness.
  • Identifying signs of crisis in children.
  • How schools, including the BASD model, are responding to these challenges.
  • Resources and emergency contacts available for crisis intervention.
  • Advocacy efforts: exploring what is needed from federal, state, and local communities to support the mental health of our children and youth.

Don’t miss this opportunity to engage with experts and contribute to vital conversations about the mental health of vulnerable children and families in our community. Contact Bob Walden for more info ja@ja.ppjr.org
