Who We Are

Churches working together can do more than any one church alone.

That’s our founding principle.

What started in 1954 as a partnership of six Allentown pastors is now the Lehigh Conference of Churches, a growing nonprofit with a staff of 40 and a budget of $3.5 million. Our Board of Directors and Leadership Team guide our efforts to minster to and advocate for the less fortunate in our community.

Striving to be the face, feet, hands, and heart of God's grace

The Conference seeks to unite Christians through community service, ecumenical ministry, and advocacy for social justice issues, while administering programs that meet basic human needs and provide a path to stability for the Lehigh Valley’s most vulnerable residents.

Embracing Diversity,
Encouraging Unity

Our membership includes 140 congregations and faith-based organizations representing nearly every variety of Christian tradition in the area.

Serving Our Neighbors, Respectfully and Responsibly

Our programs touch the lives of more than 14,000 individuals each year, yet our 7% administrative costs are less than half of what other nonprofits spend.
