SUPPORT THOSE LIVING WITH DISABILITIES

Spend time with individuals who are living with mental health issues and assist LCC staff in helping them develop skills for living independently.

Begin a feeding ministry to provide and serve nutritious, cost-effective food to people who are poor and living with HIV/AIDS.

HELP TO END HOMELESSNESS

Help provide street homeless men and women with necessary items for hygiene, such as soap, razors, deodorant, and toothpaste. Host collection drives for linens, towels, and new undergarments.

Assist LCC staff with relocating homeless men and women to permanent housing by helping staff find furniture, appliances, and other housewares.

FEED THE HUNGRY IN OUR COMMUNITY

Provide and serve a meal to poor and indigent people in Lehigh County.

Organize a food drive to collect nonperishable staple items.

Sponsor a family to help make the holiday season more joyful for those in need.

BE OUR VOICE

Learn about the root causes of poverty in your community by attending a Justice and Advocacy workshop.

Develop partnerships with the LCC and other advocacy agencies to communicate with state and federal legislators.

Join the Justice & Advocacy Network to receive updates and share information regarding hunger, homelessness, at-risk youth, and mental health.

PUT YOUR FAITH INTO ACTION

Become a member of one of the LCC’s committees and help organize an ecumenical event.

Pray for the poor and people vulnerable to losing housing.

Learn about homelessness by inviting a case manager to talk with your congregation about relational sponsorship.

KEEP US RUNNING

Provide receptionist coverage during lobby walk-in hours.

Assist the administrative staff with special projects, which involve occasional simple typing tasks, data entry, receptionist duties, filing, etc.

Provide assistance when LCC offices need painting or cleaning. Help with move boxes and office fixtures as needed.
