Christians & Muslims Talking Together: Women in Islam
October 11 @ 7:15 pm - 9:30 pm
Respect Graduate School, Moravian Theological Seminary, and Lehigh Dialogue Center mark 10 years of inter-religious dialogue. Candid and respectful presentations about our beliefs, practices, and opportunities for cooperation are leading participants to deeper understandings of one another and mutual efforts in our communities. The sessions are held at Respect Graduate School and Moravian Theological Seminary.
This year we will discuss Islam’s views about and roles for women, which are often misunderstood, even distorted. Each session provides a two-fold view intended to inform, clarify, and start discussion on Islamic understandings that invite comparisons to today’s society and religious views. Each Dialogue session opens with a presentation followed by round-table discussions.
